I moved from Nevada to Alaska in 1995 in order to run dogs. I was fortunate when I arrived to have the opportunity to work with and handle dogs for some legends in the racing community.I learned all the “tricks of the trade” during this time.I quickly learned how expensive and time consuming it was to race competitively while working a full-time job and commuting. So, instead of racing, I enjoyed my 7 dogs and ran them by sled, skis, bike, and foot. We had a lot of fun. Now, time has passed and so have some of them. I now have one dog named “Mighty” and love spending quality time with her.I launched Valley Poop Patrol on September 1, 2009 after determining I could make a difference for many residents of the Valley.
“Time” is something that we never seem to have enough of and the service I offer will free up some of that time. I’m doing this to help provide a healthy outdoor environment for you and your family (dogs included). Besides, scooping doo probably ranks high on the top-ten list of least liked chores.A little on my background…
I’m an Air Force veteran and a graduate of Weber State University (Utah). I’ve worked as a Deputy Sheriff in Carson City (Nevada), a Mat-Su Borough Animal Control Officer for 7 1/2 years, a clerk for the Alaska Court System, and a technician at the State Crime Lab. I can promise you honest, hardworking, dependable, good “old fashioned” customer service with a smile! I am very happy to be Owner/Operated and intend to stay that way.
I hope to hear from you soon!
